Choose
Pick the survivor you actually want to build around.
Each one has a passive that can save a run quietly or completely change the way you play it.
ARCLINE STUDIO PRESENTS
A survival game that starts under control and usually stops being under control.
Free to play. No pay to win. Builds get weird. That part is intentional.
THE SHORT VERSION
Horde Shift is a survival action game built around movement, growing enemy pressure, character progression, equipment and build variety. Pick one of 20 survivors, enter a mission, collect experience and shape the run with 154 Blessings while the horde keeps getting harder to control.
Every survivor has a different passive and base profile. During a run, Blessings can reshape damage, movement, defence, recovery, summons, crowd control and progression. Some work automatically. Others add active abilities that you can trigger when the screen gets dangerous.
Outside the run you collect and improve weapons, armour, accessories and shoes, build around the stats you want, and decide whether equipped gear should also change the way your survivor looks. The campaign now spans more than 155 missions across 27 regions, including Offworld areas such as Lunar Exodus and Cryovent Necropolis.
Choose
Each one has a passive that can save a run quietly or completely change the way you play it.
Escalate
The point is not to repeat the same build. It is to discover the stupidly effective thing you did not expect.
Push
New environments, enemy mixes, bosses and gear keep the campaign moving forward instead of looping the same room forever.
20 PLAYABLE SURVIVORS
Every survivor changes the run in a specific way. Pick one below to see what their passive actually does, how their base stats differ and how they are unlocked.
154 BLESSINGS
The game has to explain a Blessing quickly. This guide does not. Search the full pool, open any icon and see what it does, when it starts working and how to actually use it.
No Blessing matches those filters.
OUR STORY
Make the game free, make progression feel earned, and do not turn the fun parts into things you have to buy back from us.
It began as the kind of survival game we wanted to keep opening for “one more run”. Something quick to understand, difficult to completely control and deep enough that the next build could still surprise us.
Then it kept growing. More regions. More enemies. More bosses. More equipment. A campaign that eventually stopped being satisfied with Earth. Every update made the list of things we wanted to improve longer instead of shorter.
The free part matters to us. Horde Shift is not built around paying for power. If you get stronger, find better gear or push deeper into the campaign, that should come from actually playing the game.
We also do not want development to happen behind a wall. When something is rough, we would rather fix it. When players point out a better idea, we want somewhere to hear it. That is why this site has an ideas board at all.
Small studio. Big backlog. We would rather keep making the game better than pretend it is finished forever.
ACTUAL GAME

WHAT CHANGED
The technical changelog can stay technical. Here we explain what an update actually changes when you open the game.
Survivors have been rebuilt, equipped gear now changes their appearance, and the Play, Loadout, Survivor Selection, Chests and other menus have been significantly improved.
Also includes better mobile layouts, touch controls and various fixes.
We rebuilt the survivor presentation, improved the menu and made equipped armour, footwear and accessories visible on the character. If you prefer the original survivor look, switch cosmetics off. The bonuses stay active either way.
Loadout is easier to read, characters are much more distinct, gear has a real visual payoff and the Play screen now shows the current survivor much more clearly.
Lunar Exodus pushed Horde Shift into Offworld regions, with new mission environments, equipment families and a colder, stranger visual language.
The campaign now reaches 155 plus missions across 27 regions. Later runs move into Offworld locations with their own presentation, loot identity and mission atmosphere.
Menus, touch behaviour, survivor selection and reward presentation have been getting rebuilt alongside the game itself. Some of this work is boring to describe. It is very noticeable when it is missing.
Cleaner navigation, better tablet layouts, more readable equipment, stronger chest presentation and fewer moments where the interface behaves like it has its own agenda.
THINGS WE ARE THINKING ABOUT
Equipment that changes more than a number and creates an actual reason to build around it.
Small things that make entering a new place feel different before the boss even appears.
The current gear visibility system is a start. There is room to make it much more personal without touching balance.

ON OUR RADAR
This is not a promise list. It is where good problems and interesting suggestions can survive long enough to become something real.
